I really enjoyed this NCLEX study guide and found it very helpful. I actually used these types of steps while studying for my NCLEX, and I passed on my first attempt A Learning how to slow down, break the question apart, identify what was most important, and eliminate unsafe answers made a huge difference for me.
I especially liked how this guide explains that the NCLEX is not just about memorizing content, but about learning how to think safely as a nurse. The sections on prioritizing airway, breathing, circulation and safety, along with unstable before stable, acute before chronic, unexpected before expected, and actual before potential, are all strategies that helped me while preparing for my exam.
The case study section is also very helpful because it teaches you to look at trends in vital signs, labs, and changes in the patient instead of getting overwhelmed by all the information.  Having a simple method to follow helped me stop second guessing myself so much and gave me more confidence when answering questions. I would definitely recommend this guide to other nursing students preparing for the NCLEX. It is easy to understand, organized well, and gives you steps you can actually apply while testing.
